SNES Classic Mini To Come This Christmas Says Eurogamer’s Sources

Eurogamer have stated that their sources close to Nintendo have confirmed that the Big N will follow up the NES Classic Mini with a micro version of the original NES’ successor, the Super Nintendo. The SNES Classic Mini is currently scheduled for release over the Holiday Season of this year and development is well underway according to sources.

SNES

After the news of the NES Classic Mini being discontinued last week, it would make sense that the real reason behind it was for Nintendo to put focus on the production of the SNES Classic even though the NES Classic Mini is still quite a popular and sought out item. The success of the NES Classic Mini last year sold millions of units and it likely that Nintendo hopes a repeat success this year by releasing the SNES Mini in time for Christmas.

There are a number of ways that Nintendo can secure success, providing a larger library of games on the Plug & Play system will definitely help sales along with the option to play SNES Carts or more via even via Virtual Console by transferring from the Wii, Wii U or 3DS. Also, if last year’s sales are anything to go by, having more units available will definitely increase the profit margin.

We really hope this turns out to be true. It will be a great novelty item to follow up the NES Classic Mini and build up a collection of Nintendo Micro Consoles. What games would you like to see come to the SNES Classic Mini? Obviously Super Mario World, The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past & Super Metroid are a given but what other titles do you think should come to it? Let us know in the comments below.

NES Classic Mini: First Impressions

Where do I start writing my first impressions about the NES Mini? NES Classic Gameplays

Hi Guys & Girls, Mike Scorpio Here! Sorry I have not been around very much, I have been working on a new series of videos called NES Classic Gameplays for our YouTube Channel. In a nutshell, I demo each of the 30 games on the NES Classic Mini from Balloon Fight up to Zelda II in bitsize 10 minutes or so videos so all you lovely viewers can see what each game has to offer in terms of gameplay and story!

Each Video is uploaded everyday at 1:00pm GMT and has started on November 25th. With 30 games on the NES Classic, that means there will be 30 videos in total leading us straight into Christmas time. All videos are in alphabetical order which will hopefully give you an idea of when you can expect a particular game you are interesed in. Hoping for Super Mario? That might be a couple of weeks yet, Looking for some Double Dragon action? You can expect that sometime this week.

I hope you all enjoy these videos and you can check them out as they are uploaded via our YouTube Playlist or even right here! Be sure to subscribe to our channel to help support us further and slide the alerts toggle to ON so you never miss a video!

We’ve Got The NES Mini!!!

At last! After 10 whole days since its launch, I finally got my hands on the NES Mini. Since the launch I have searched frantically both online an in stores but to no avail, they were sold out or reserved. However, on a whim whilst reserving the Zelda 30th anniversary collection amiibo, I had a look in a local hyper market and low and behold, it was there waiting for me.

I knew it would be foolish not to buy it so I just had to snatch it up before someone else gets their filthy mitts on it and tries to sell it on eBay. Not this time Scalpers! The NES Mini is finally mine and you aren’t getting it!

Be sure to keep an eye out as we will most definitely be doing a review on this bad boy very soon!

NES Mini Sold Out On Launch Day!

Oh My Giddy Aunt! I can not believe that in less than half a day, All major videogame retailers around the world are completely sold out of the Nintendo NES Mini. Granted there may be one or two slightly obscure stores or online outlets that may have a few to offer but the fact that all over the world, people have gone nuts for a console that originally launched 30 odd years ago is incredible. If you were one of the lucky few that did manage to get it on pre-order either from the big N themselves or via another outlet then today is an exceptionally good day for you. For everyone else, like me, we won’t be getting the console anytime soon until it is back in stock, which then raises the next question, when will it be back in stock?
