When the Corrin amiibo for Smash Bros. series was first announced, the amiibo shown was the male version, only if today’s new leak is anything to go by, it seems a Male and Female Corrin amiibo are in the works.
In the video above, it is clearly visible that both Male and Female version of Corrin can be summoned as an Illusionary Hero in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, which is something that can only be done, by using Fire Emblem related amiibo from the Smash Bros. line. So unless this video is a well-crafted fake, the only way for the summons of both Corrins could happen, is if an amiibo of both is happening after all.
Sadly though, until official confirmation comes from Nintendo themselves, this is of course simple speculation, but if it is real, with the release of Echoes drawing close, some Corrin amiibo news should drop fairly soon and when it does, we’ll be back to write about it!
But the video is not the only thing to have leaked as the entire Japanese version of the game has leaked and some players can’t help but leak even more details, so if you wish to avoid spoilers, good luck. It won’t be long until they are everywhere!

*Spoiler Warning! The subject matter of this video and associated article, is not something you should read/watch should you wish to avoid any kind of Breath of the Wild related Spoiler.
Since Aonuma said Epona is in Breath of the Wild, we have all been wondering how it is we would encounter Link’s trusted steed and what must happen to make it so. Well, Eurogamer have made a fascinating discovery and that is the fact that the Super Smash Bros. Link amiibo can in fact be used to summon the horse in Breath of the Wild and if you have the time to spare, the can see a video of this discovery in action:
Unfortunately, right now this is the only known means of encountering Epona in the new title, but since amiibo in Breath of the Wild are meant to add to the experience and help players get some cool items and weapons, there is a good chance there is a natural way of finding Epona that doesn’t involve amiibo.

Added to the Switch launch line-up is of course Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and the standalone first available on Switch, Specter of Torment campaign and Yacht Club Games couldn’t be any more excited, and neither can we, the fans. So in light of what is to come and the fact we’ve been eager to interview the ever popular Yacht Club Games, we actually got the chance to ask them a few very random questions and while the answers may have taken their time getting back to us, they were worth waiting for. Let’s dive right in shall we?
While Yacht Club Games won’t be making and releasing any more Shovel Knight themed amiibos any time soon (something you can expect to read about in our upcoming Yacht Club Games interview,) they have however announced that the Shovel Knight amiibo is not a one trick pony as the amiibo now serves another purpose as well! Source Gaming have uploaded a video stating that 3 more potential amiibo could be coming due to their listing inside a datafile for Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. The three amiibo are titled: Link_Majora, Link_Twilight & Link_Skyward. You can see them in the list below which comes from Reddit.
Like we said, Source Gaming covered it in their latest video which you can see here.
I would find these a welcoming addition to my ever growing collection of Zelda amiibo as it could bring new variants of link from different parts of the series. What will be interesting to see is how the Twilight Princess Link will look as we already a version of him (with his yellow stand) in the Smash Bros amiibo series. I guess only time will tell.
Please let us know your views and opinions in the comments below.

It’s been a while since it was last update, but we’re not going to hold it against him, not when he is doing us gamers a favour, plus it’s not the easiest thing in the world compiling an extensive chart like his amiibo one, so great job as always @moldyclay and just in case you haven’t seen it yet, you can see it here and now: Continue reading (Random) @moldyclay Upgrades his amiibo compatibility chart to version 11.0
