The beginning of the end has arrived.

When news of the NES Classic Edition first broke, gamers across the globe lost their minds and come launch day, everyone tried their best to get one. Not everyone was successful in walking away with one and now, those who stand with empty hands can expect to do so even longer.

From news of the NES Classic Edition being discontinued in North America, we jump to news of the product being discontinued in Australia and Italy, as well as in Japan as it has been reported that even production of the Famicom Mini is also coming to an end, but more could be made at a later time.

It truly is a sad day indeed, especially when the NES Classic Edition, aka NES Mini is something Nintendo can continue to put out there alongside the Switch and 3DS without it affecting sales, but it is what it is and there is no changing it.
