It is with some sadness that I must begin this piece with the “closing ceremony” for our very own #ZeldaWeek. Not only was it a great way to celebrate the series’ achievement but it was also a fine way to end the month too.

We promised we would fill the site with plenty of Zelda talk and we did! Although we more than just delivered, we delivered in spades, as we covered both news, reveals and put out a bunch of features that deserved some internet time. For me personally, the week has been great, possibly the best one yet and it’s not because it was all Zelda based. Sure we covered a lot of Zelda content, but we also covered new Pokémon GO footage, new Pokémon distributions, the Squid Sister’s 2nd performance and the fact they’re getting their own amiibo. But then there was Miitomo, Super Mario Maker, details on Nintendo next mobile games (Fire Emblem & Animal Crossing), but also news on the elusive NX as well.

There was certainly plenty of things to write about and my fingers were really made to suffer, but it was all worth it, especially now as we find ourselves in May and are now just days away from the 1 year anniversary of Miketendo64, (05.05.16) which for us is a very exciting time! Still #ZeldaWeek deserves more praise than it is possible to give because without it, we may not have hit my intended goals of achieving a minimum of 100 views a day for every day we’ve been in action, but to also surpass 25.000 visitors. Sure our views may be low compared to a ton of websites out there, but the fact is we are small, we know that and don’t dispute that, but we are growing every day and just keep on getting better and #ZeldaWeek is proof of that!

However should you have happened to miss any of it, not a problem, because all content can easily be found on our site and there will also be a number of pieces listed below, along with a brief summary and you can find all that below:

With so much to remember, it’s easy to get confused, but we hope this simplifies it all for you.

The Legend of Zelda: A Tale of DLC and Amiibo:

(Feature by jhlongman)

Since amiibo first shipped out in 2014, these toys to life figurines have gone on to be quite the cash cow for Nintendo and as such, are starting to become involved with a lot more of Nintendo’s 1st party games, but so is dlc. With that in mind, we took to analysing their relationship with the Legend of Zelda series in general and looked into just how deep the relationship runs.

But that is all in the past now, now is the time to focus on what comes next? “What does Miketendo64 have in store for you next?” Well only Mike Scorpio has real answers to those questions, so we’ll just have to wait for him to enlighten us all, but I can assure you there will be more news, reviews and features and moving on to the subject of reviews, below you can find a list of the games we know for certainty we will be reviewing this month and who knows, some more might just sneak out of the woodwork:

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse (Wii U & 3DS)

Lost Reavers (Wii U)

Mini Mario & Friends: Amiibo Challenge (Wii U & 3DS)

So we hope you look forwards to seeing those and everything else we put out in the coming weeks, because we know we will and if you’re a Zelda fan, be sure to get those stories in! We want to hear them and share them!!!
