Hello and welcome to the first instalment of Jacktendo Selects, a new monthly feature in which will see me countdown my favourite games on Switch in the month that they came out and reveal the game I’m most looking forwards to from the following month!
There won’t always be 10 games listed in every instalment, but for this instalment there is! But there are some rules. A game can only appear in this list, if I have personally played it, reviewed it and if it is a full game, so the likes of Splatoon 2’s Global Testfire Demo will not be featuring an appearance. After completing the main game, players can unlock time trials which is available in every version of the game across platforms except one, the Nintendo Switch. Once completed a prompt should appear when you are selecting a level to play, giving you the option to choose between normal play or time trial. The Switch version does not have this option, yet.
Sumo Digital have confirmed that Time Trials will be coming to the Nintendo Switch version some time in the near future as stated by Design Lead Brad Davey via NeoGAF:
“I thought I’d out myself to pass on some good news; I can confirm that we’re working on getting Time Trials patched in to the Switch version of the game. I can’t tell you exactly when this is going to happen, it’s not quite as simple as flicking a switch, there is some work on our end involved on getting this up and running. As soon as I have more news I’ll be sure to pass it on.”
Sumo Digital said the update would be coming soon and now it has.
If you were one of the many who believed the HD Rumble was rumbling a little too loud, the new update soon takes care of that, but it seems there might be more to the update than meets the eye as there are reports of gamers stating the game has been visually improved but without official patch notes, none of us can really know for certain.
Should official details come to light sometime soon, you can expected to see them here at Miketendo64!
