In the “Fish Pokémon at Rare Spots!” global mission, participants have a goal to collectively catch 250,000 Pokémon/items at bubbling fishing spots between May 30 at 00:00 UTC and June 12 at 23:59 UTC. Everyone who casts their line for this global mission will earn Festival Coins, and Pokémon Global Link members can earn even more rewards!

Bubbling fishing spots are located all over the Alola region. Sometimes you’ll catch Pokémon you won’t find anywhere else, or find hard-to-get items in the watery depths. Stay on the lookout for these special fishing spots!

To join a global mission, first head to the Festival Plaza in your Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon game. Enter the castle and speak to the receptionist on the right. She’ll let you join the global mission and guarantee that the Pokémon and items you catch will count toward this global mission. Then, start fishing for Pokémon and items at bubbling fishing spots.

If the goal of 250,000 Pokémon/items is reached, Pokémon Global Link members will earn 4,000 Festival Coins, while Trainers who do not belong to the PGL will earn 2,000 Festival Coins. If the goal is not reached, the participation prize will be 400 Festival Coins for PGL members, and 200 Festival Coins for Trainers not registered at the PGL.

PGL members are also eligible to receive a Lure Ball—a Poké Ball that has better odds of catching a Pokémon while fishing—if a bonus goal of 500,000 Pokémon/items is caught. Plus, regardless of the success of the global mission, any PGL member who contributes at least three Pokémon/items will earn five Rare Candies!

Remember that a PGL account is free, and you have until the end of the global mission time period to create an account and sync your game to earn the bigger bonus. Sign up for a PGL account today.

Check out How to Participate in Global Missions if you’d like a more detailed walkthrough on how to join the fun.

Good luck in the “Fish Pokémon at Rare Spots!” global mission! Remember to use Game Sync by June 12 at 23:59 UTC to get your haul of Pokémon and items counted toward the grand total.

PGL Global Mission Prize Summary

Goal Reached (a total of 250,000 Pokémon/items):
• PGL members earn 4,000 FC
• Non-PGL members earn 2,000 FC

On another note, It seems like Pokemon Sun & Moon’s online servers are currently experiencing some issues. A statement has been issued by Nintendo that states that they are working hard to fix the problem. Hopefully it won’t effect the Global Mission too much. If that is the case, I am sure Nintendo will extend the time period to compensate the inconvenience players have been experiencing.

Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS) Review

Hey everyone, Mr. Panda here with my review of Pokemon Sun and Moon for the 3DS! It’s been an exciting year for the series, and the 7th Generation is here to cap off the 20th Anniversary in the best-possible way! Check out my review and see why Sun and Moon are worth the hype!

Mr. Panda's Video Game Reviews

The Pokémon Series Evolves

The original Game Boy Pokémon games inspired a generation to be the very best like no one ever was. Worldwide, trainers set forth on an adventure to capture and raise the titular Pocket Monsters. Twenty years later, the series remains as strong as ever, spawning dozens of sequels and hundreds of Pokémon. Pokémon Sun and Moon cap off the series’ yearlong anniversary celebration and show us how far the franchise has come. Not only does Pokémon’s seventh generation provide a robust execution of the game’s ever-growing mechanics, but it also challenges the traditional structure of every other mainline entry, resulting in a fresh evolution of the series.

Pokémon Sun & Moon Latest Reveals Final Starter Evolutions, Famous Trainers Red & Blue And Alolan Island Guardians

The latest Pokémon Sun & Moon reveal trailer have at last unveiled the final evolutions of Starter Pokémon, Owlett, Litten & Popplio. It doesn’t come as too much as a surprise as images of them were indeed leaked months ago but no one took much noticed and deemed them elaborate fakes. Sorry guys and girls but the leaked images were in fact real, Owlett’s evolved form Decidueye does look like an archer and fires arrows, Popplio’s Final evolved form Primarina looks like the ugly duckling once it had turned into an elegant swan and Litten’s final form Incineroar looks like it bench presses buses but is not Fire/Fighting like most people though but Fire/Dark (Though it will probably have Some fighting moves as well).

Meet Silvally, Kommo-o, Tsareena, Alolan Muk And More In Pokémon Sun & Moons’s Latest Trailer

Well as promised, there was a new trailer released today on the Official Pokémon YouTube Channel and helps clear up some hazy facts from the information provided from the loose translations of the latest Coro Coro Magazine. First off, our previous post regarding Type: Nulls’s & Jangmo-o’s evolutions types were true along with the type of attacks they possess (specifically Type: Null). What we did get wrong were the names which were also wrong on the source page (Unless they were the japanese names of the Pokémon), so please accept my sincere apology and with that we can move on.

The names are in fact as announced in the official game trailer; Silvally as opposed to Silvadi and Hakamo-o Kommo-o as opposed to Jarango & Jararanga. However that was not all that was revealed, there were more evolved pokémon shown which includes evolutions for Bounsweet and Cutiefly. Pokémon Sun and Moon: Official Details Out Next Week along with #PokemonWeek!

Now this is just pure joy, sure it’s usually May when we start to learn details regarding upcoming main Pokémon games, but since first learning of slithers Pokémon Sun & Moon during the special Pokemon Direct back in February, we’ve heard nothing about these Gen 7 games, but come next week, all of that will change.

From a tweet by Series Director Junichi Masuda, came the revelation that new Pokémon Sun and Moon information will be revealed on the 10th of May, just four days from now. There is no certainty of how much will be shared on the day, with the information releasing at 5PM Pacific Time (1PM in the UK,) most likely as a streamed video, such as another Pokémon Direct, but that’s okay. It doesn’t matter if we only get a handful of details because this won’t be all we’ll hear regarding the game this month because CoroCoro Magazine will dropping some real bombshells as they share a huge chunk of details for us to truly sink our teeth into and this details will be coming to light within two weeks from now!

So what does all this mean? It means get ready for some real Pokémon Sun and Moon information because boy are we going to get it. It also means we can say goodbye to YouTube for a bit because despite a lot of the videos being thought out and raising a few valid points, at the end of the day all current Pokémon Sun and Moon videos are just speculation, and once we start getting facts this month, we won’t be needing that speculation anymore and if you’re not so sure on just what kind of videos I’m talking about, you can find one below and should you like it, be sure to subscribe to Alex Oglooza on YouTube.

Pokémon truly has been riding a wave of never ending success, further evident by The Pokémon Company’s recently provided 2015 Brand licensing results through License! Global, and just what did those results show? Well The Pokémon Company had made $2.1 billion in retail sales regarding all their licensed products such as video games, anime, the Trading Card Game and more.

And it is because of that fact, the upcoming Sun & Moon details and rumours of more Pokémon GO details, such as registration for North America beta testing supposedly beginning this month, that come the 9th of May, all of next week will in fact be #PokemonWeek here on Miketendo64. So while news and rumours are bound to drop, you can also expect to see a whole range of other content as well, so make sure you join in with the fun next week, because there will be something for everyone!
