Once again, our esteemed Hero Link, has found himself with the opportunity to ride a motorcycle once again (Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe being the previous instances,) and having earned it myself, I knew what I must do! Continue reading [Video] Master Cycle Zero Extreme Sports! (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
Last week, Pack 2, otherwise known as the Champions’ Ballad DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, finally made its debut and added a whole range of content. From expanding the game’s story, to 16 new Shrines, 3 new enemies, 9 new pieces of armour and the Master Cycle Zero, the DLC came packed, but there is more to it than just that, because getting the motorcycle and witnessing the final memory is not the last touching moment the DLC has to offer. In fact, it’s what happens afterwards that is. Continue reading [Video] Making a House a Home with a Picture of Old Friends (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

Just a heads up for anyone who doesn’t want to pay scalper prices for amiibo. The Majora’s Mask Link amiibo is available again for pre-order on Amazon Spain for the reasonable price of €14.90 ($20.00 approximately) The relaunch date is labelled at December 14th but after you make your purchase, amazon may send you another email announcing that the amiibo can be sent before the relaunch date. Here is a screenshot from the website below.
It does seem to ship abroad as well but you will have to take shipping costs into account, afterall, what is the point of buying an amiibo for $20 if you have to spend more than $10 dollars to have it shipped. It may also be worth checking out your region’s Amazon webpage to see if it is also available at a more affordable cost. It has not been announced if the Twilight Princess Link or Skyward Sword Link will get a reprint but fingers crossed they do.

If you haven’t yet, a new update is now available for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and it is worth downloading. Not only does it add the new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Side Quest that will allow you to earn Rex’s costume, but there’s also support for the Champions amiibo:
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Version 1.3.3 / DLC Version 2.1:
- Added support for the Revali / Daruk / Urbosa / Mipha amiibo.
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 side quest and collaboration equipment added.
- Fixed an issue with Hero’s Path Mode in which “x marks” weren’t recorded with version 1.3.0 or later.
- Various fixes to improve the gameplay experience
Only instead of just hitting you with the game’s patch notes, we will also be sharing a video from GameXplain that will show you how to get the new Salvager gear, if you’re in a hurry and have no time to look and figure it all out for yourself:
Oh, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, what are you doing to us today?
If Zelda fans didn’t get enough news regarding new content for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, today (new side-quest with new costume available as a prize being distributed on November 9th) it’s time for some less official news. According to an updated listing of Breath of the Wild in the European Switch eShop, the Champions’ Ballad DLC Pack that adds a new dungeon, original story and new challenges, is due out in December.
By no means is this official confirmation, as for now it is circumstantial, but like Nintendo has said time and time again, the second DLC pack will be out this year and with just November and December left, next month is as good a time as any to bring it out. But until Nintendo officially come out and give us a date, which they will do soon enough, for now nothing is set in stone.

Amazon US & Amazon Canada has opened up Pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition of the Zelda Encyclopedia which launches April 24th next year. The main difference between the standard hardcover and the deluxe is the Deluxe edition is designed like the Gold Cartridge of the original Legend Of Zelda for the NES. It comes with a gold foil paper with gloss laminate and a gritty finish. It also includes embossed ridges much like the cartridge and is finished of with the Legend Of Zelda NES label and tucks away into a black cartridge sleeve with the Nintendo Logo printed on it.
That’s not all though as it even comes with it’s own instruction booklet which comes with theme appropriate material inside. I am torn between which version of the book I am going to get now. I was happy with going with the standard Hardcover to match in with the other two books I have, Hyrule Historia & Art & Artifacts, but that gold finish and beautiful design of the Deluxe edition may make me want to buy both. I think I may have to take out a second mortgage!

Japan saw the release of Fire Emblem Warriors last week on Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS. Sales were not too bad as the title managed to sell 40,000 copies on the Switch & around 20,000 on the New 3DS. According to Dengeki, Fire Emblem Warriors has sold through 50% of Japan’s initial shipment.
It may seem like a slow start, especially seeing as the Fire Emblem series is quite popular in the Japan, though I am sure the numbers will no doubt fair a lot better in the West when it releases in two weeks. On the other hand, Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U sold just under 70,000 units and the 3DS version sold 56,000.
Fire Emblem Warriors debuted in Japan last week. On Switch, the game sold a little over 40,000 copies. The New 3DS version also moved just under 20,000 units. Dengeki further adds that Fire Emblem Warriors sold through 50 percent of its initial shipment.
The one somewhat comparison we have is Hyrule Warriors. On Wii U, the game sold a bit under 70,000 units within its first week. Later on, Hyrule Warriors Legendsfor the New 3DS sold about 56,000 copies, 60% of the initial shipment. To be fair though, The Legend Of Zelda series does have a bigger fanbase.
Earlier this year, Zelda fans in Japan were graced with the Legend Of Zelda Encyclopedia. Dark Horse Comics are finalizing the western localization for the Encyclopedia and a release window has been given for North America, April 2018.
The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia will hold 320 pages full of explanations and descriptions of everything from items, potions, characters and their relationship with others. Maps, illustrations and screencaps also cover the pages stretching from the first game in the series up to Twilight Princess HD. An interview with Eiji Aonuma, the Series Producer.
Be sure to keep an eye out for Pre-orders as they will no doubt be opening up soon with pricing set at $39.99.
For the players who picked up Monster Hunter Stories earlier this month, this week it will be getting the Zelda content update that was previously made available to those in Japan.
It has only been confirmed for Europe at this time to release on the 28th of September, but it will most likely be the same day as well for North America, we’re just waiting on confirmation. Until then though, here’s the footage of the new content in action: Continue reading [Video] Monster Hunter Stories’ Zelda Collaboration Comes West on September 28th

Capcom have released a new video that show that Monster Hunter Double Cross on Nintendo Switch will be getting Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild DLC. This will allow your character to don the Champions Tunic and dress your Felyne companion up as a Korok. You can see for yourself in the video below.
