We have all known for years that Ganondorf does actually have a surname. It was written in the Instruction Manual for The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past where he was named Ganondorf Dragmire but as the years have gone by, the surname has fallen into obscurity and there was doubt whether it was really his surname of if it was just something the localization translators added to build up the story. and character.
Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Developers Hidemaro Fujibayashi, Satoru Takizawa and Takuhiro Dohta were present in San Francisco for GDC 2017 to talk in-depth about breaking the conventions of Zelda. Bear in mind that the video is over an hour long so be sure to add it to your watch later list if you are short on time.

The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild has recently been updated to version 1.1.2 and now Nintendo have officially released the patch notes which list what has been fixed.
Wolf Link amiibo exploit has been fixed. Some users were able to summon Wolf Link with a full 20 hearts without completing the Cave Of Trials in The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. It has now returned to the default three hearts. Those who have completed the Cave Of Trials will have the same amount of hearts that they had when they finished.
The Infinite arrow glitch seems to have been fixed in which players could pick up as many arrows as they like as long as the enemy keep firing arrows at them. It has now been limited to 20-25 arrows maximum meaning all arrows fired afterwards will despawn.
A glitch involving certain bosses disappearing mid-battle has also been fixed. YouTube viewer Michael V commented on the latest GameXplain 1.1.2 Zelda Update Video that he encountered a glitch whilst fighting Master Kohga in which he did disappear during battle, stopping him from completing his quest to reach Divine Beast Vah Naboris. The update has allowed Michael to restart the boss fight once he returned to the Yiga Clan Hideout.
NWPlayer123backs up this statement saying that Master Kohga’s AI has been updated along with code fixes and save tracking. .
It seems that the Original The Legend Of Zeldaon the NES was planned to be much different to what we know and love today. A Screenshot from an early build of the game, which can be seen in the newly released Hyrule Encyclopedia in Japan (Not out yet in the west I’m afraid) shows us what looks to be a dungeon select screen in first-person view. The final product however, did not utilize either of these features so it would be plausible that the image was came from a really early build of the game at the very beginning of the development stage. Zeldapower.com tweeted about it on their Twitter account and provided a lovely picture of it which you can see below. Youtuber Haley Ojedi got the surprise of her life this week as she was finishing up her Breath Of The Wild Live Stream. During her fight with Ganon and the ending credits, Haley began receiving messages via live chat from none other than The Voice Of Revali himself (English Version), Sean Chiplock. He didn’t just congratulate her and encouraged her along but also sent a special audio message and gave a generous donation to help raise the money she needed to go to E3 this year.
It is nice to see that there are some people out there willing to give to complete strangers and help them on their way and when sharing a love for Zelda just makes it all the more beautiful.
You can check out the recording below of Sean Chiplock appearing on Haley’s Live Stream Below.
Thought Sean Chiplock voiced revali, the Rito Champion, he wasn’t the only character he voiced. He also did the voice work for the Great Deku Tree and Teba as well.
I have been trying to find the words to describe this game and the time to write them. Alas, I have finally managed to find both and will now take my time to express my thoughts about The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. I was never a fan of the name to start with and when the game was announced, I did feel a little disappointed that Nintendo’s biggest Zelda Game to date was named like a Discovery Channel Program. Name aside I still had high hopes for this game and the long wait that all of us Zelda fans have endured had me bordering fanatical obsession, constantly scouring the Internet for news that would shed more details about what was to be the best game ever coming to the Wii U (and the Switch).
A Paperback version of the Legend Of Zelda: Hyrule Historia has been found at a Kindergarten fair by a member of the Nintendo Force Team who have courteously taking a photo of it and tweeted it for all the world to see. After looking online, this paperback version is only available via the Scholastic Book Fair and can’t be bought by any other retail outlets (not counting ebay). It can cost around $20 but these days you can pick up the Hardback version for a few dollars more. There is also no telling if it includes the Skyward Sword Manga short on the final pages like the hardback version does.
Not to be left out, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the latest Switch available game to have a downloadable patch released this week.
The update is of course version 1.1.1 and consists of adjustments that have been made to make for a pleasant gaming experience and for players wanting to download the patch, can of course do so whilst playing, or whilst the console is in Sleep Mode as that is proven to download 15% faster. (Update is also available for the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild.)
Additionally Breath of the Wild may not be the only game that receives a patch/update this week, as Has-Been Heroes has another one on the way, as does FAST RMX and as always, you can expect to learn about the updates, here at Miketendo64.
For Us in the west, it has felt like an age waiting for the relase of The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess Manga by Akira Himekawa but alas the time has come and we can all get our hands on a copy of the first volume . As we know, this Manga series has been divided up into 4 volumes but do not despair as Amazon have already leaked a release date for the second volume of the Twilight Princess Manga which seems to be July 28th in the UK, August 8th in the US and a European release of August 24th.
