So something good came from all that maintenance after all! Granted there is no new event course available for the Wii U version of Super Mario Maker, and hasn’t been for a long time now, but a new update for it (version 1.46) is available now and not to be left out, an update is out for the 3DS version as well (version 1.03).
Only don’t go expecting anything to elaborate from the update, as the full patch notes read only as: “A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience.”
Still it’s a lot better than nothing and with Nintendo paying some attention to Super Mario Maker once again, either a Switch version is on the cusp of being announced sometime soon, or we might get lucky and there is more content coming. Either way, it’s a win-win.

After first being revealed two days ago, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Release Mega Event has begun and the Deluxe prizes are everything we thought they would be!
From today until o8:59 CEST on the 11th of May, players all across the globe will have to work together if we all wish to earn every Deluxe building going since collectively we’ll have to play the Toad Rally 10 million times just to get the first of 2 Banana Statues. (20 million will get us the second one.) Whereas the rarest and hardest building to acquire is the Nintendo Switch Statue as it requires a total of 50 million World Rally plays and on the off chance we do pull it off, all Deluxe gifts will be sent out on the 12th of May at 09:00 CEST, along with the results.
For full details on the event and every winnable Deluxe Building, console the image below:

Today’s the big day! The day Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sees its worldwide release and although our review is running late, it’s almost finished, but I can’t help but put it on hold as I give this turn of events priority!
It seems Super Mario Run isn’t the only thing that’s celebrating Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s release today, as the official Japanese Splatoon Twitter account is also celebrating by sharing a special piece of art that you can see right here:
With both Inkling Girl and Boy making their debut in the newly released racer, of course the Splatoon account would want to honour the game that has incorporated the Splatoon brand, by way of incorporating two characters with different colour skins available, plus the Urchin Underpass stage and the all new Splat Buggy!
So since are available to use right from the start, how many of you reading this purchased Mario Kart 8 Deluxe today and what do you make of the inky additions? Let us know!
And just like that, Gacha has proven its worth once more!
Earlier on today it was revealed that Super Mario Run has nearly been downloaded 150 million times (around 78 million of which had happened before the end of January) and that’s great, but just because it has been downloaded that many times, it doesn’t mean that is also the number of times players have opted to purchase the game’s entire content outright. According to Takashi Mochizuki of The Wall Street Journal, Nintendo’s Mobile Game Super Mario Run has been downloaded almost 150 million times on Android & iOS devices. That is not bad going since it was at 78 Million downloads end of January when it was only available for iOS devices. It seems that it’s release on the Android market have almost doubled its download figures.
