There are photographs making their way around online that appear to be “On-Set” Photographs from the Detective Pikachu Set in London. There are about 9 new photographs which has a number of extras dressed up in Pokémon outfits and in Green-Screen suits. Actors Bill Nighy, Ken Watanabe and Katheryn Newton are also on set. Bill Nighy and Ken Watanabe are looking up as some large multicoloured balloons rise through the air and Kathryn Newton is in costume, a red blazer with a pin under her laper with the letters “CNM” on it.

There are no images of Ryan Reynolds on set as he voices the titular character, Detective Pikachu but rumours say that Reynolds may have already recorded his lines back in early 2017. The film, though set in the same “Ryme City” as the game, it may not follow the exact story of the 3DS title.
The original 3DS game Detective Pikachu follows Tim Goodman who goes to Ryme City to find his father who has disappeared. He bumps into a talking Pikachu that only he can understand and learns that he is a great detective. They work together to find Tim’s father. The film has some changes to characters like Kathryn Newton’s Character in the film is called Lucy but in the game, she is called Emilia Christie in the English Localized version. Ken Watanabe portrays Detective Yoshida, who is an original character and may be based on Detective Holliday from the game.
