Great change is afoot. Version 2.0.0 is available now for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and so much has changed and that’s before we even factor in the Happy Home Paradise changes as well. So, to celebrate all things Animal Crossing, we’re creating a new series of guides dedicated to the new series of content.
In this particular guide, we’re covering the great changes that have now come to Harv’s Island, and don’t worry, if you’re new to the game and have yet to even make it to Harv’s Island, we’ll even be covering that:
How to Upgrade Harv’s Island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
How to Unlock Harv’s Island:
In order to unlock Harv’s Island and get the chance to access Photopia, new players will first need to sell a total of three plots of land on their island, to three residents. Doing this will trigger Harvey to come to your island and when you speak to him, the spaniel will even invite you back to his island.
Flying to Harv’s Island is perfectly free so you won’t need to worry about spending any bells or Nook Miles just to make your way over there. You will, however, need to use Dodo Airlines to fly over there.
On Harv’s Island, players can get access to Photopia by going inside Harvey’s House and snapping as many fun photos as they can possibly create inside his home full of studios.
How to Upgrade Harv’s Island:
Thanks to the new version 2.0.0 update, now when players visit Harv’s island, a new path is available and when you follow it, players can find Harvey next to Henrietta. Talking to Harvey, he will share his dreams of opening up a co-op on his island but tell you donations will be required to make it happen. He’ll also tell you that he’s invited a Lloid and Lloid’s friends, also called “Lloid”, to the island.
By talking to them, players can make donations to set up new shops. Only one donation can be paid off a day and all require 100,000 bells each. So repeat visits to unlcok them all and the characters are required. A breakdown of each donation can be found below:
Lloid Donations:
- Lloid accepting donations for “an old timer who’ll give you access to your home storage.”– 100,000 Bells required.
- Lloid accepting donations for “a merchant offering rugs and mysterious wallpapers.” – 100,000 Bells required.
- Lloid accepting donations for “a mysteriously accurate fortune-teller.” – 100,000 Bells required.
- Lloid accepting donations for “a dapper dealer of fine shoes and handbags.” – 100,000 Bells required.
- Lloid accepting donations for “a legitimate art dealer.” – 100,000 Bells required.
- Lloid accepting donations for “a talented husband-and-wife furniture-refurbishing team.” – 100,000 Bells required.
- Lloid accepting donations for “a botany expert with the greenest of thumbs.” – 100,000 Bells required.
