When Zelda fans first laid eyes on Link as part of an E3 trailer for Zelda U, aka the game that would go on to become known as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there was something noticeably different about him. His attire.

Granted we have seen the hero wear blue in the past, especially in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, but it was still an odd thing to see, especially when it turned out the blue attire, aka his Champion’s Tunic was actually his main piece of hero clothing, with an optional green tunic available in-game for the players who beat all 120 original shrines.

But as time has shown us, while the blue garb might not be here to stay in the main series of games, Nintendo are certainly up for making sure Link’s new attire is known the world over, thanks to a constant stream of cameos, which just this week, includes an appearance in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. So, with our favourite swordsman making many appearance, we felt it was high time to stop tweeting about his various cameos and put together a gallery of them in action, so without further ado, this is every appearance Link and his attire from Breath of the Wild, have turned up in a game:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel

Given the fact we have hit 11 appearances for the Champion’s Tunic, we certainly wouldn’t be surprised if more cameos happen later on down the line, especially in Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch, since the Witch has worn Link’s garb in both previous outings. So, when more do eventually come, we will be sure to add them all to the list above. Thank you for joining us!

Until next time, keep on gaming!
