For 30 years we have seen a young hero overcome many trials to save his land, jumping from one Legend straight to another and during those long 30 years, he’s always donned a green tunic, but now all that is set to change with Breath of the Wild as it appears even Miyamoto doesn’t know if Link will wear his green garb in his latest adventure.

Sure Miyamoto could just be playing coy and making out he doesn’t know if a green tunic is present, or from he took a backseat on this, he could genuinely not know the answer to this. This is the response GameRant got out of him, when they tried to get an answer regarding Link’s iconic green:

“I don’t know, but there are just a lot of clothes in this game. So maybe if we had green clothes people would want to wear it all the time. And yeah, with the variety of clothes you get, that this game offers, you can really customize your character. And I can’t really divulge too much more than this.”

My money is on him knowing full well on him knowing if Link will, or will not wear his iconic colour and he refuses to say anything about it, for now. But it’s Zelda, of course the Green has to be present, even if it’s something we get nearer to the end of the game, sure the blue Champions Shirt does look pretty sweet, but it’s just not green. So until we hear any more on this, this is all we have for now.
