For those of you who still play Super Mario Maker every now and then, (or all the time,) a update is out now and only requires 377MB of space to download it.

The update is only a minor one, so if you’re hoping for new backgrounds for your levels, or anything new, get ready to be disappointed because there is none, as the update solely consists The new update is version 1.4.4 and although it offers nothing ground-breaking such as new features, it does implement the following things:

  • Stars are no longer given when posting a comment while playing a course or after completing a course.
  • Changes the conditions for gnats to appear in “Create” mode.
  • Introduces additional enhancements to improve the user’s experience and enjoyment.

Not only that, but if you go to access the course world, you will get a notification from Nintendo regarding course deletion and resetting of stars, which you can see for yourself with the image below:

Although they have admitted this from time to time, it’s good to see they have made the effort to include it into the game so at least that way, if there were players who were getting their courses deleted without knowing why, or googling why, now they do.
