The remake adds full cutscene voice acting for the first time, with a cast heavy on Fire Emblem talent.
One of the biggest additions in the Nintendo Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is full voice acting in cutscenes — something the 1998 original never had.
The complete English cast list is now public.Matt Mercer reprises his role as Ganondorf, having previously voiced the character in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Erica Mendez takes on Zelda / Sheik in her first outing as the princess (she previously voiced Lianna in Fire Emblem Warriors and Bernadetta in Fire Emblem: Three Houses / Three Hopes). Lisa Reimold voices Navi, with other key roles including Richard Epcar as the Great Deku Tree, Suzie Yeung as Saria, Frank Todaro as Kaepora / Rauru, Laura Post as Impa, Josh Petersdorf as Darunia, Anne Yatco as Ruto, Cristina Vee as Nabooru, and Reba Buhr as Kotake / Koume. Additional voice support comes from Daniel Bushey, Rachel Seeley, Danny Hunt and Haley Hanna Hunt.
A notable number of the cast have prior Fire Emblem experience (Reimold as Framme, Todaro as Nelucce, Post as Yunaka, Petersdorf as Morion, Gregory as Flayn, Vee as Merrin and Tatiana, Buhr as Ivy). Epcar is also known for Ansem in the Kingdom Hearts series, while Yeung voices Yuffie in the Final Fantasy VII remake games.
The addition of professional voice work, combined with the new orchestrated score and dramatically upgraded visuals, marks one of the clearest modernisations of the classic. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches on November 5, 2026.
