NEW RELEASE | The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is Available Now on Nintendo Switch 2

The classic Hero of Time adventure returns today, reborn for a new generation!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has officially launched today, November 5, 2026, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Developed and published by Nintendo, this ground-up remake of the 1998 Nintendo 64 classic brings Link’s legendary journey through Hyrule into the modern era with completely overhauled visuals, fully voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, and a full symphonic orchestral soundtrack.

Take up the ocarina and the Master Sword as you travel across time in two different eras, explore a revitalised Kingdom of Hyrule, solve intricate dungeon puzzles, battle ferocious monsters, and meet a host of lively characters. Modernised controls include free jumping, dashing, and a refined camera, while the Nintendo Switch 2 microphone lets you hum or play real melodies to perform songs on Link’s ocarina. The game also supports ZELDA NOTES via the Nintendo Switch App, and compatible amiibo figures unlock useful in-game items and masks.

Whether you’re returning to Kokiri Forest for the first time in years or discovering the adventure for the first time, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is available digitally on the Nintendo eShop right now. A physical edition (with special textured foil cover art on the first print run while supplies last) is also available, alongside related The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary hardware and accessories.
