Can you name all of Nintendo’s Best Selling Switch games? Don’t worry, because that’s where we come in.
Now that Nintendo has shared their latest financial results ending September 30, 2021, once again plenty of new sales figures have been shared. The previous 10 Best-Selling games are all occupying the same placements they occupied previously, but there has been some movement lower down in the list, including the addition of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. Before we get into the list, once again here are some interesting facts:
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, on its own, no longer with the help of Mario Kart 8’s sales, has now successfully outsold Mario Kart Wii.
- When you combine the sales of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Kart 8, however, the combined total is 47.2 million.
- Based on the 1.69 million sales that were last reported on December 29, 2019, for the Wii U release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, combined with the sales of the Switch version, the game has shipped 25.82 million copies worldwide.
- Since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Ring Fit Adventure utilise the same engine, sales of the two games combined are 38.03 million.
- Based on its current sales trajectory appeal, Ring Fit Adventure looks set to overtake Splatoon 2 when the financial results for the next fiscal quarter are shared.
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD marks the 5th game to release on the Nintendo Switch this year, to earn a placement among the top 41 games that have each passed a million sales.
- Out of the 41 games, 30 have sold more than 2 million copies each.
- The Top 3 Best-Selling Switch games all continue to have something in common, Animal Crossing’s Isabelle appears in each title.
