Hey all! There is an Easter egg in Shantae and the Seven Sirens where if you use the Refresh Dance whilst next to Rottytops, she will actually turn human! The Rottytops refresh transformation doesn’t last long though and she immediately almost changes back into a Zombie.
This was originally brought to our attention via a tweet on Twitter by Zengo Oshiba (@MBH3757) who asked WayForward if they could explain the Easter Egg. We have recorded the transformation ourselves to make sure that it is indeed legit and it is! We even zoomed in so you could get a better look at the Rottytops refresh transformation.

WayForward did reply to the original Tweet and explained that is an Easter Egg that players of Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse and Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero: Friends to the End mode will understand.
Consider it an Easter egg! Players of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and the Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Friends to the End mode will recognize what's happening.
