ZELDA NOTES (Late May)
ZELDA NOTES is a game-specific service that is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
You can download the free Nintendo Switch app on your smart device to access ZELDA NOTES.
The current Nintendo Switch Online app will be renamed to the Nintendo Switch App in late May 2025. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required to use ZELDA NOTES.
Nine features of ZELDA NOTES:
1) Track your progress:
- You can check the achievement rate for each element, such as clearing shrines and discovering Koroks. Now you can use Navigation and aim for a 100% achievement rate!
- A voice that helps you find Koroks and shrines — With the help of this friendly voice, you can be guided in real time across the map to find Koroks and hard-to-reach shrines.

- A voice that helps you find Koroks and shrines — With the help of this friendly voice, you can be guided in real time across the map to find Koroks and hard-to-reach shrines.02
2) Voice Memories:
- Hear the memories of various characters — When you visit certain locations in the game, you can listen to commentary about your surroundings from Princess Zelda and other characters. Even if you’ve been to those parts of Hyrule before, you might want to revisit them to hear new insights!
3) Autobuild Sharing:
- Receiving blueprints — Scan a QR Code with your smart device, and ZELDA NOTES can import it to your game as a blueprint. Use this feature to recreate other players’ creations with ease.
- Send to ZELDA NOTES — Send a blueprint you’ve made with Ultrahand to ZELDA NOTES, and it will be converted to a QR Code that you can share with other players on social media.
- Receiving blueprints — Scan a QR Code with your smart device, and ZELDA NOTES can import it to your game as a blueprint. Use this feature to recreate other players’ creations with ease.
- Send to ZELDA NOTES — Send a blueprint you’ve made with Ultrahand to ZELDA NOTES, and it will be converted to a QR Code that you can share with other players on social media.
4) Item Sharing:
- Receiving items — Scan a QR Code with your smart device, and ZELDA NOTES can import it to your game through your item box.
- Sending to ZELDA NOTES — Deposit in-game items to your ZELDA NOTES item box.
- Sharing your item box — Use ZELDA NOTES to convert your items into QR Codes that you can share with other players on social media.
- Receiving items — Scan a QR Code with your smart device, and ZELDA NOTES can import it to your game through your item box.
- Sending to ZELDA NOTES — Deposit in-game items to your ZELDA NOTES item box.
- Note: Some items from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be converted to other items when received in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
5) Photo Studio:
- Editing photos — Send your in-game photos to ZELDA NOTES to decorate them with frames, stamps, and more. You can also attach your Ultrahand blueprint and Item Box QR Codes to these photos.
6) My Play Data:
- Check your play records — See detailed information about your play, such as the number of game overs, how many enemies you’ve defeated so far, and more. You can earn medals for reaching certain milestones!
7) Global Play Data:
- Compare your records with players from around the world — See how your stats compare with others from across the globe – you might discover something new about the way you play!
8) Daily Bonus:
- Take a chance on in-game rewards — Test your luck once per day in ZELDA NOTES. Get hearts, meals, or other effects based on the result.
9) amiibo:
- Get more out of your amiibo! — In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can use amiibo (sold separately) from The Legend of Zelda series to obtain in-game items once per day. With ZELDA NOTES, you can now use each amiibo figure an extra time each day.
