A new trailer has been shared by Nintendo today for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. The trailer showed off the Still World, where Zelda will venture to and from alongside Hyrule in order to save her kingdom and its people.
We also got a look at another ability Zelda will be able to use… although it is quite expected and comes at next to no surprise. It is the swordfighter ability which, upon finding a mysterious sword, Zelda will be able to fight monsters alone or alongside her echoes. Another thing that was also shown during the trailer was clockwork machinations called Automatons. These are created by the NPC Dampé, a familiar character in the Zelda series, and can be used to help Zelda on her adventure. Automatons can be destroyed, though if that take too much damage from enemies.

30th August, 2024 – In The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, launching on Nintendo Switch on 26th September, the people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared throughout the land. Accompanied by an ethereal creature called Tri, Princess Zelda must enter the rifts in an effort to save her kingdom. The new The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – Traversing the Still World (Nintendo Switch) trailer sheds light on what lies inside these rifts and how they shape Princess Zelda’s and Tri’s adventures.
To locate the missing people, Zelda and Tri must enter and explore the Still World within the rifts, with each entry point leading to a distinctive location. In some locations, they’ll find dungeons with mysteries waiting to be unravelled. Players will need to call upon Zelda and Tri’s combined powers to traverse the distorted terrain, explore the Still World, and overcome the challenges that await.While exploring the Still World Zelda will find a mysterious sword allowing her to transform into a powerful Swordfighter form for a short time and battle enemies head-on. With its mighty power, she can forge ahead when her path is blocked, strike down enemies on her own, and battle alongside echoes. The sword’s gauge can be replenished by collecting energy found in the Still World.
Hyrule is home to many quirky characters and some of them will be of great help to the princess. For example, Dampé, an engineer of clockwork gizmos, has a knack for creating automatons. Once activated, they can unleash powerful effects – be careful, though, as they’ll break apart if they take too much damage.
