The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine

Check out this beautiful Ocarina of Time cinematic created with Unreal Engine 5

RwanLink is a YouTuber that is reasonably well known for his The Legend of Zelda animated videos using Unreal Engine. He first caught our attention many years ago with his Ganondorf Dragmire animation and he has just gotten better and better as the years go on.

His latest video is a cinematic was created using Unreal Engine 5 and shows link traveling around Lake Hylia. The scene itself is absolutely gorgeous that we just had to share it with you all. The attention to detail is truly exceptional. All the iconic landmarks like the Lakeside Laboratory, the Stone tablet on the ground, the fishing hole tucked away in a corner, and the twin pillars on the small islet are present. What is really impressive though are the smaller details. The foliage on the ground, the water and lighting effects, the particle effects, and the character models are truly something else.

This cinematic truly is a treat for the eyes of any Zelda fan and it does make you hope one day, Nintendo will actually make a Zelda game that looks exactly like what we see in this video.

Video Description:

In this new episode of Zelda Oot Next Gen I will recreate the famous Lake Hylia. This lake is beautiful and full of mysteries so I wanted to recreate this feel by imagining how it could look like with the visual of a film.

The goal of this series is to reimagine these different environments as if they exist in real life using the Unreal Engine 5 and also to become a better artist in general. As a director, I also plan to present each of them with a cinematic. Even though I’m not a game developer, I also take the time to learn how to code to have a playable character and show you those environments from a third person perspective.
