During the Animal Crossing Direct October 2021, The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack was mentioned when the Happy Home Paradise Paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons was being showcased. A new overview trailer for the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack was also uploaded around the same time the Animal Crossing Direct went live on the Nintendo UK YouTube Channel.
During both the Animal Crossing Direct and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Overview Trailer, the prices were revealed for both individual members and for a family plan. For a single member, a 12-month membership will cost $49.99 / €39.99 / £ 34.99 whereas a Family Plan for up to eight members is $79.99 / €69.99 / £ 59.99. To help sweeten the deal, Subscription members who already have an NSO subscription can upgrade to the new tier at a discounted price and they can also receive the “Animal Crossing: New Horizons -Happy Home Paradise” Paid DLC for free. Do note that by receiving the DLC in this way, you will need to maintain an active membership.
