Halt! Do not pass Go until you have collected your pinch of salt first.
In case you missed it, a few weeks ago there was a French “leak” by the market chain Carrefour that teased a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch bundle on its website.
At the time, the bundle was passed off as being a fake, whilst some still hoped it would be true and going by a recent turn of events, it does seem as though those who remained hopeful, were right to do so.
One of the things that caused doubt in the authenticity of the image, is the fact the SKU has a red rectangle on one side of the bundle’s box, next to some associated text. In the past, the red box has never been present on a Switch bundle, until today when the newly revealed Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Switch bundle also has such a mark on it and in the same place no less.
Looks like the leaked Smash Bros Ultimate bundle is real. Bundle picture shares the same branding and notice for the online subscription service as the just announced Pokemon bundle. pic.twitter.com/mkc0lD5slJ

By no means is this an absolute guarantee that the bundle is in fact real, but it is more of a reality now than it was when we first saw it.
