As well as a tease of a new racing game that has been heavily rumoured, there was also a whole lot of Sonic Mania being discussed as well. With it being SEGA’s highest rated new Sonic game in 15 years, (Metacritic rating of 86,) the game is now going to get a new lease of live. Rebranded as Sonic Mania Plus, the game will have a physical release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, with each game having a holographic package. There will also be a 32 page art book, SEGA Genesis reversible cover and new content for players to enjoy.
Characters Ray the Flying Squirrel and Mighty the Armadillo, will be playable and so will an all-new Encore Mode and even an expanded 4P competition mode. The best bit about all of it though, is that all of this is said to cost us $29.99 and if you already own the original game, the new content will be added to that as well.
But wait, there’s more! SEGA are also going to produce a series of Sonic Mania Adventures animation. There will only be 5 in total, but the first one will be out next month, with the rest releasing in the months below. A tease of the upcoming series can be seen below:
