With the bout of Maintenance for the Nintendo Switch scheduled this week and the new update for the Switch Parental App, hinting that it will only be compatible with Switch Version 5.0, it seems we might be getting the next update for Nintendo Switch much sooner than we think.
Twitter User @MarkSnow44 has taken to his Twitter account to relay what he was told by an employee at Nintendo, who he contacted in regards of a broken Joy-Con. The Employee let slip about the update by asking if Mark had updated to version 5.0. He then corrected himself by saying that the update goes live tonight.
@pixelpar @PlayerEssence @ShawnLong85 @TheSwitchForce @SpawnWaveMedia Just talk to Nintendo on the phone about a broken Joy con and he asked me if I updated to the recent 5.0 and then corrected himself and said it's releasing tonight

We have listed this as a rumour for now as we have yet to get a response from Nintendo to confirm this information or not.
