We heard earlier this year that Animal Crossing New Leaf will get a big update this Autumn for amiibo functionality.
Today we have had the announcement that 50 new amiibo cards will be released for New leaf, and these will be new villagers. From what I could gather from the Nintendo Direct is that they will mainly be new villagers we have not seen before. The cards will be available November 11th. The update will be around that time.
I for one am very excited for the update and I think it will give long time players more reason to keep playing it, after three years since release.
We also heard there will be an Animal Crossing Direct on November 2nd. Could that be more about the update or a completely new game? We will possibly get info on the upcoming Animal Crossing smartphone game, and maybe another game as well, which is what I am really hoping for.
