Super Mario Run | Donkey Kong Bananza Event is Now Underway

DK fever is taking over!

Just in time to celebrate the Nintendo Switch 2 release of Donkey Kong Bananza, a new tie-in event is available now in Super Mario Run. Consisting of nine prizes and 27 missions, this is one collaboration event with a lot going on, and we’ve got all the details right here.

Explore the vast Underground World—by smashing your way through it!

The Donkey Kong™ Bananza game for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system, is available now!

 

Donkey Kong’s latest 3D platforming action adventure game will have you smashing your way through the vast Underground World. And it’s out now! Use Donkey Kong’s power to demolish not only the enemies who block your path, but the expansive landscape, too!

Travel to the vast Underground World in search of golden bananas — Join DK and his companion, Pauline, as they delve deep underground – and discover that this subterranean world is a lot more than it seems on the surface. Uncover a variety of environments such as arid canyons, lush forests, and frigid tundra as you peel back the world’s layers!

Smash through everything in your path — Bash through just about anything with the raw power of Donkey Kong! Crash through walls, carve tunnels with your fists, punch straight down into the ground, and even tear off chunks of terrain to swing around and throw in groundbreaking exploration -the more you smash, the more areas open up for you to move through.

Pair up with Pauline to use powerful Bananza Transformations — Pauline is a talented young singer looking to find her way back to the surface— and her singing can empower Donkey Kong with Bananza Transformations! Each transformation has its own signature strengths: you can smash through the toughest obstacles with the raw strength of Kong form, gallop with incredible speed as a Zebra, and more.

 

To celebrate the release of Donkey Kong ™ Bananza, we’ll be holding an event in the Super Mario Run game! (Period available: July 17, 2025 08:00 to August 28, 2025 08:00)

You can clear the missions during the event period to get in-game statues of Donkey Kong and Pauline, who appear in Donkey Kong™ Bananza. There will be three mission sheets for this event. Clearing the challenging Void Kong missions can get you gold versions of the statues!

 

Donkey Kong Missions:

• Complete three missions: Coins x 500
• Complete six missions: Raily Tickets x 10
• Complete nine missions: Donkey Kong Statue

Pauline Missions:

• Complete three missions: Raily Tickets x 15
• Complete six missions: Pauline Statue
• Complete nine missions: Kong Bananza Statue

Void Kong Missions:

• Complete three missions: Gold Donkey Kong Statue
• Complete six missions: Gold Pauline Statue
• Complete nine missions: Gold Kong Bananza Statue

 

You can check the mission objectives and how much progress you’ve made toward completing them by tapping the mission icon in the top-right area of your kingdom. If you get these special Donkey Kong statues, you can decorate your kingdom with them!

Note: During the event, one course each day will be available to play free of charge. The courses that are available are selected from 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 5-1, 5-2, and 5-3. Note: Linking your Nintendo Account will unlock an additional stage. This stage is selected from 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 5-1, 5-2, and 5- 3. Stages 2-2, 2-3, 3-3, 4-2, 5-1, and 5-3, which are part of the event, will be selected more often while it is active.

Donkey Kong Missions:

• Mission 1: Visit your kingdom.
• Mission 2: World 1-1 – Clear with 140 or more coins.
• Mission 3: World 1-2 – Defeat 17 or more Goombas.
• Mission 4: World 1-3 – Clear with 220 or more coins.
• Mission 5: World 1-4 – Clear with 54 or more left on the timer.
• Mission 6: World Tour and Toad Rally – Collect 1000 coins.
• Mission 7: World Tour – Defeat 50 Goombas.
• Mission 8: Toad Rally – Win 2 times.
• Mission 9: Remix 10 – Collect 20 medals in a single round.

Pauline Missions:

• Mission 1: World 1-1 – Deat 14 or more Goombas.
• Mission 2: World 1-2 – Clear with 300 or more coins.
• Mission 3: World 2-2 – Clear with 180 or more coins.
• Mission 4: World 2-3 – Clear without defeating any Swoops.
• Mission 5: World 3-3 – Clear with 5 Pink Coins and 333 or more coins.
• Mission 6: World 4-2 – Deafeat 22 or more Goombas.
• Mission 7: World 5-1 – Clear with 270 or more coins.
• Mission 8: Toad Rally – Play 1 times.
• Mission 9: Toad Rally – Win 3 times.

Void Kong Missions:

• Mission 1: World 1-4 – Clear with 5 Purple Coins and 130 or more Coins
• Mission 2: World 2-2 – Clear without defeating any Bullet Bills.
• Mission 3: World 2-4 – Clear with 130 or more coins.
• Mission 4: World 4-4 – Clear with 150 or more coins.
• Mission 5: World 5-3 – Clear with 180 or more coins.
• Mission 6: World 6-3 – Defeat 16 or more Rocky Wrenches.
• Mission 7: World Tour – Collect 3000 coins.
• Mission 8: Toad Rally – Play 2 times.
• Mission 9: Remix 10 – Collect 25 medals in a single round.

About Super Mario Run:

A new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand — You control Mario by tapping as he constantly runs forward. You time your taps to pull off stylish jumps, midair spins, and wall jumps to gather coins and reach the goal!

Super Mario Run can be downloaded for free and after you purchase the game, you will be able to play all the modes with no additional payment required. You can try out all four modes before purchase: World Tour, Toad Rally, Remix 10, and Kingdom Builder.

• World Tour – Run and jump with style to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches!
  • Travel through plains, caverns, ghost houses, airships, castles, and more.
  • Clear the 24 exciting courses to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser, waiting in his castle at the end. There are many ways to enjoy the courses, such as collecting the 3 different types of colored coins or by competing for the highest score against your friends. You can try courses 1-1 to 1-4 for free.
  • After rescuing Princess Peach, a nine-course special world, World Star, will appear.
• Remix 10 – Some of the shortest Super Mario Run courses you’ll ever play!
  • This mode is Super Mario Run in bite-sized bursts! You’ll play through 10 short courses one after the other, with the courses changing each time you play. Daisy is lost somewhere in Remix 10, so try to clear as many courses as you can to find her!
• Toad Rally – Show off Mario’s stylish moves, compete against your friends, and challenge people from all over the world.
  • In this challenge mode, the competition differs each time you play.
  • Compete against the stylish moves of other players for the highest score as you gather coins and get cheered on by a crowd of Toads. Fill the gauge with stylish moves to enter Coin Rush Mode to get more coins. If you win the rally, the cheering Toads will come live in your kingdom, and your kingdom will grow.
• Kingdom Builder – Gather coins and Toads to build your very own kingdom.
  • Combine different buildings and decorations to create your own unique kingdom. There are over 100 kinds of items in Kingdom Builder mode. If you get more Toads in Toad Rally, the number of buildings and decorations available will increase. With the help of the friendly Toads you can gradually build up your kingdom.

• All courses in World Tour are playable – Why not try out the bigger challenges and thrills available in all courses?
• Easier to get Rally Tickets – It’s easier to get Rally Tickets that are needed to play Remix 10 and Toad Rally. You can collect them in Kingdom Builder through Bonus Game Houses and ? Blocks, by collecting colored coins in World Tour, and more.
• More playable characters – If you rescue Princess Peach by completing course 6-4 and build homes for Luigi, Yoshi, and Toadette in Kingdom Builder mode, you can get them to join your adventures as playable characters. They play differently than Mario, so why not put their special characteristics to good use in World Tour and Toad Rally?
• More courses in Toad Rally – The types of courses available in Toad Rally will increase to seven different types of courses, expanding the fun! Along with the new additions, Purple and Yellow Toads may also come to cheer for you.
• More buildings and decorations in Kingdom Builder – The types of buildings available will increase, so you’ll be able to make your kingdom even more lively. You can also place Rainbow Bridges to expand your kingdom.
• Play Remix 10 without having to wait – You can play Remix 10 continuously, without having to wait between each game.
