No EUIC is complete without this side quest.
It’s that magical time of year again. As the ExCeL London welcomes back the Pokémon Europe International Championships (EUIC), with loving arms, with it comes the return of the pop-up Pokémon Center. While a pass for EUIC is not required to gain access to the Pokémon Center, being able to book a slot, when they became available, was.
Despite six hours of trying, I was unfortunate in securing a reservation, but thankfully this year the Pokémon Center had a system in place that was rather beneficial. As long as you were willing to wait for a ticket and persons with spare “tickets” were willing to take you in with them, all is good and that’s precisely what happened to me on the last day of EUIC 2025, Sunday, the 23rd of February, 2025.
I only had to wait around thirty minutes but a family of three allowed me to join them and off I went. The road to the Pokémon Center was a rather short one this time around, but as long as you got into the first hall, where various seating areas and photo opportunities awaited you, you were free to take as much time as you wanted before entering the pop-up Pokémon Center. But once you were in, you need to move quickly.
Being as though it was around half two in the afternoon on the final day of EUIC when I finally stepped foot on hallowed ground, the sight that greeted me was not, particularly a welcome one. While the store’s layout improved over last year’s, there were many empty shelves. Too many to count even and it wasn’t the products that are already available online that were missing in action, but a lot of the exclusive EUIC products, depicting Ogerpon and Psyduck.
For example, the gorgeous rucksack that I had saw many others wearing, was nowhere to be seen. So, with my hand forced, I scoured the Pokémon Center to grab what products I could get, two Psyduck lanyards, some EUIC Booster sleeves, an Ogerpon notebook, Ogerpon deck box, a keyring, a Psyduck magnet, a baseball cap and one item of clothing.
Still, empty sheleves aside, there were still plenty of other interesting objects to look at and since I was armed with multiple cameras and a credit card with a high limit, the hunt was on. Without further ado, here’s all of the interesting products that demanded my attention:
Pokémon: Let’s Go to the Pokémon Center! (EUIC 2025)
Exclusive Merchandise: (Ogerpon & Psyduck)
Figure This Out:
Plush the Button:
Try Me On:
Coming Soon to the Pokémon Center:
Now, I don’t know about you, but while the Pokémon Center is set up seperate from EUIC, can one really say they had the full EUIC experience if they don’t go to the Pokémon Center and spend too much? Although it’s hard to secure a booking, but until the day we finally get a permenant store in the UK, the annual pilgramage to EUIC and the Pokémon Center is a necessary one, for it is a sin to do one and not the other.
