Recommended Counter Deck:
Being as though the Blastoise Drop Event has you do battle against four Water type decks, any decent Lightning deck will rise to the occasion. The Pikachu ex Deck (Genetic Apex) can do some serious damage, but we’ve found the Lt. Surge Deck (Genetic Apex) to work just as well, thanks to its reliance on Raichu and Magneton. The deck works so well in fact that we were able to Auto Battle our way to victory. It doesn’t always yield results, but when it does the battles can be over quite quickly.
For help with building your own Lt. Surge Deck, we’ve got you covered. You just need the following cards Genetic Apex and PROMO-A cards:
Lt. Surge | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 226/226
Pikachu | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 094/226
Pikachu | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 094/226
Raichu | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 095/226
Raichu | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 095/226
Magnemite | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 097/226
Magnemite | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 097/226
Magneton | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 098/226
Magneton | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 098/226
Voltorb | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 099/226
Voltorb | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 099/226
Electrode | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 100/226
Electrode | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 100/226
Electabuzz | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 101/226
Electabuzz | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 101/226
X Speed | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 002/P-A
Poké Ball | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 005/P-A
Poké Ball | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 005/P-A
Professor Oak | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 007/P-A
Professor Oak | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 007/P-A
During minor experimentation, we have found that the Lt. Surge Deck (Genetic Apex), can prove effective even if you don’t have the Genetic Apex Raichu, as the Mythical Island one can work just as well and that Joltik, along with Galvantula can make for a great substitute for Electabuzz.
