Recommended Counter Deck:

Being as though the Venusaur Drop Event has you do battle against four Grass type decks, any decent Fire deck will rize to the occasion. The Charizard ex Deck (Genetic Apex) can do some serious damage, but we’ve found the Blaine Deck (Genetic Apex) to work just as well, thanks to its reliance on Rapidash and Ninetails. The deck works so well in fact that we were able to Auto Battle our way to victory. It doesn’t always yield results, but when it doesthe battles can be over quite quickly.

For help with building your own Blaine Deck, we’ve got you covered. You just need the following cards Genetic Apex and PROMO-A cards:

  1. Blaine | Genetic Apex (Charizard) | A1 221/226
  2. Vulpix | Genetic Apex (Charizard) | A1 037/226
  3. Vulpix | Genetic Apex (Charizard) | A1 037/226
  4. Ninetales | Genetic Apex (Charizard) | A1 037/226
  5. Ninetales | Genetic Apex (Charizard) | A1 037/226
  6. Growlithe | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 039/226
  7. Growlithe | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 039/226
  8. Arcanine | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 040/226
  9. Arcanine | Genetic Apex (Pikachu) | A1 040/226
  10. Ponyta | Genetic Apex | A1 042/226
  11. Ponyta | Genetic Apex | A1 042/226
  12. Rapidash | Genetic Apex | A1 043/226
  13. Rapidash | Genetic Apex | A1 043/226
  14. Magmar | Genetic Apex (Charizard) | A1 044/226
  15. Magmar | Genetic Apex (Charizard) | A1 044/226
  16. Potion | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 001/P-A
  17. Poké Ball | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 005/P-A
  18. Poké Ball | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 005/P-A
  19. Professor Oak | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 007/P-A
  20. Professor Oak | PROMO-A | PROMO-A 007/P-A

During minor experimentation, we have found that the Blaine Deck (Genetic Apex), can prove effective even if you don’t have Growlithe and Arcanine, as they can be substituted with Sizzlipede, Centiskorch and Moltres ex.
