As we wait for a mainstream The Legend of Zelda motion picture or the supposed Netflix adaptation of the series, one animator/YouTuber has taken it upon himself to create his very own animation of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in time for its 18th anniversary since the game first released on Nintendo Wii. RwanLink is a name quite a number of us Zelda fans know already for his incredible animations from the origins of Ganondorf Dragmire to his Chibli style video of Hyrule Castle.

His latest animation has been his biggest yet, with over 2000 hours dedicated to the project 60 vfx shots, over 25 different characters, and all in the period of 12 months and developed in Unreal Engine 5. The video itself is about 15 minutes long and captures a lot of key iconic moments of the game.

After watching the video for ourselves, we can see the amount of dedication and commitment that has gone into making this animation, and the work has most definitely paid off. The models and environments rival that of Hollywood animation studios and the Music Compositions would make John Williams bow his head in acknowledgement.

If you want to watch the Zelda: Twilight Princess 18th Anniversary video, you can check it out below or via RwanLink’s YouTube Channel.

What did you think of the animation? Did you enjoy it? We’re there any iconic moments that you wish were included? Do let us know in the comments below!
