Gareth Owens: (Indie Game Creator)

Name/Known Alias: Gareth / Wise Monkey.

Occupation: Indie Game Creator.

Best Known for/Notable Works: No Stone Unturned, BBC Sherlock’s Mind of Moriarty, Phantom Peak.

Fun Fact: I want to write more detective fiction than Agatha Christie did.

How did you make your break into the industry: My parents were police detectives, so when I got into writing, Detective fiction came very naturally and I was able to use that niche to fine tune being really good at a specific type of story. When you’re that specialised and dedicated people take notice and give you a chance. I applied for entry level jobs in the industry the same way anyone else would, but I was able to find Detective fiction work a lot more once I moved to London.

Hardest Projects to have Worked on: No Stone Unturned.

Defining Career Moment: It hasn’t happened yet.

Throughout your career, of the many things you have since learned, is there anything you wish you knew at the beginning:  “It can be achieved.”

If you had the opportunity to work with any IP, what would it be: Batman, Detective Pikachu, Watchmen/Rorschach.

Is there anyone you haven’t worked with yet, but would like to: Willem Dafoe and Quentin Tarantino.

For fans of your work, who’d like to get in touch and stay up to date with all the latest news, what are the best places for them to reach you on: We are live on Kickstarter right now, if you search for ‘No Stone Unturned’ you’ll find us. Apart from that: any of our socials, I’m the only person running everything at the moment, so if you send me a message on instagram @wisemonkeyltd it’ll get through, or our company email info@wisemonkeygames.co.uk – you can also find a link to our discord on instagram.
