Now that Nintendo has shared the latest financial results for the quarter ending on June 30, 2023, it has been revealed that the hybrid console has now sold 129.53 million units worldwide, accompanied by reported software sales of 1,088.35 million units. The numbers are slowing down compared to previous financial results, but that is to be expected by a console now in its seventh year.

Still, the Nintendo Switch is still Nintendo’s second best-selling platform of all time, with the undefeated Nintendo DS still riding high at 154.02 million sales worldwide. Along with the updated hardware numbers, Nintendo also provided an updated look at their top 10 best-selling games, which can be seen listed below:

  2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons (2020) | 42.79 million
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (2018) | 31.77 million

  5. Super Mario Odyssey (2017) | 26.44 million
  6. Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield (2019) | 25.92 million
  7. Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet (2022) | 22.66 million
  8. Super Mario Party (2018) | 19.39 million 
  9. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (2023) | 18.51 million 
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (2019) | 16.17 million
