Flipping heck! Where does the time go, eh? I know it seems like I say this every year now but I still can’t believe that Miketendo64 is celebrating eight incredible years this month on May 6th. This little site on the world wide web has had more than its fair share of ups and downs, highs and lows, ins and outs, but we keep pottering along like the little train that could. We wouldn’t still be running if it wasn’t for your support though so thank you again and always for giving us the strength to keep going.
To celebrate our website’s 8th birthday, we will be running features throughout the month with retrospectives looking back at our previous years and what we hope to achieve over the years to come. For the next nine days, we will be looking at three of our favourite Nintendo games that were released each year since we started Miketendo64. 2015-2018 focuses more on Wii U and 3DS titles (and some Switch games of course), and 2019-2023 looks solely at our favourite Switch games during those periods.
We are also hoping to get you involved as well. We would love to write a series of features encompassing all of your lovely comments and thoughts about Miketendo64 and how we have helped you over the years. We want to hear about how we have affected you and made an impact in your lives no matter how small, and it would be so touching to us to learn when you first discovered our website and why.
This isn’t all though as we have also deemed May “Zelda Month”. With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releasing this month, we will be sharing some of our favourite features about Zelda games. We have a good number of articles that were previously only available in our downloadable M64 Magazine which, we will publish on the website for the first time so be sure to give them a read. We will also have a review for Tears of the Kingdom, as well a giveaway for readers to win a digital copy of the game so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that one. You would not want to miss it!
