For Hyrule!
With Nintendo making plenty of headlines today, for a great many positive reasons, there is at least one piece of news that has gone unnoticed. Whilst it is true Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has suprassed 30 million copies sold worldwide, it’s not the only game to have done so. Just because The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has only sold 29 million units on the Nintendo Switch, it is still a game that also saw a release on the Nintendo Wii U, a platform where it was last reported as having sold 1.70 million copies on.
Collectively, this means Breath of the Wild has also surpassed 30 million, placing it at 30.70 million worldwide, across both platforms. Still, with a canon sequel on the way in the form of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it will be interesting to see how well the sequel will perform in comparison.
