14 and upwards…

For those of you who prefer an iOS device to an Android one, Nintendo has a bit of news to share. Coming straight from a customer support Twitter account for Nintendo Japan, the big N have teased an upcoming update for the Nintendo Switch Online app.

Releasing sometime in Summer 2022, the update is said to drop support for older iOS devices running version 13 and older. Meaning, unless you are running version 14 and beyond, the app will no longer be offering support for your device. The tweet can be seen below, followed by an English version of the news, courtesy of Google Translate:

Around the summer of 2022, we plan to update the iOS version of the “Nintendo Switch Online” app. This update will change the operating environment to “iOS version 14.0 or later”. Please note that the app will not be available on devices with “iOS version 13 or earlier”.
