The Nintendo Switch Online mobile app has received an update that brings it to version 2.0. The update comes with a few new features that allow you to see which of your friends are online and gives you the option to display or hide what games you are playing. You can also check your Nintendo Switch Friend Code in the mobile app, which also comes with the option to copy it so you can share it with friends when you don’t have your Switch console nearby.

To be honest, it is not a very substantial update but at least it is something. The previous updates for the app were very minimal with bug fixes and adjustments. Still, the upside is that you can see which of your friends are playing online when you don’t have your Switch to hand. Now, if Nintendo really wanted to make the mobile app a bit more appealing, they could add the missions and rewards feature like they did to the Switch app. It would at least give users a slightly more valid reason to use the app.
