Since the announcement that Nintendo 64 games would be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Service via an ‘Expansion Pack’ tier, there has been some speculation on how the games will run in each region. This has stemmed from the fact that Nintendo 64 games used to run on 60Hz in the US and 50Hz in the UK and Europe. Obviously, games that run at 60Hz would run faster than at 50Hz and it got folks wondering if in Europe we will still only get the games running the slower speed.
Fortunately, Nintendo UK and Nintendo Europe have recently stated on Twitter, that all Nintendo 64 games in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will have playable 60Hz English versions available. They also went on to say that some games will also have some language options for those who play the European PAL versions.

As we are halfway through October, we shouldn’t have to wait too long to hear about the actual pricing of the new membership tier and when it will eventually release on Nintendo Switch.
