The Monster Hunter Rise demo landed on the Nintendo eShop earlier today. It turns out that the demo was so popular that the eShop had to undergo emergency maintenance to deal with the strain. Alas, after waiting most of the morning for the eShop to be functional again, we have downloaded the Monster Hunter Rise demo and have recorded some gameplay footage for your viewing pleasure.

The demo has four available game modes that includes two tutorials and two missions. Unlike other game demos, not all progress is carried over to the main game and the demo itself is relatively short. In the 30 or so minutes of gameplay that we have recorded, we played through three of the four game modes and tried out three of the 14 available weapon classes.
