With COVID-19 drastically effecting almost everything in 2020, the development of No More Heroes 3 has also been affected.

Despite the team’s best efforts, what was once intended to be a 2020 release, is now intended to release in 2021 instead. Director Suda51 and his team wish this wasn’t the case, but this was to be expected. Apologetically, Suda51 shared the following statement.

At least in its absence, Switch owners can resort to playing the likes of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario Bros. 35, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and the forthcoming The Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword & Shieldfor the rest of the year and have another great game to look forwards to next year.
