No End Time Given!

On October 21, 2026, multiple Pokémon digital services entered emergency maintenance with no confirmed completion times. Pokémon HOME was taken offline for emergency system maintenance earlier in the day. Pokémon Champions followed with emergency maintenance beginning around 11:00 UTC. Pokémon Sleep also began emergency maintenance, with the English official account citing “system security measures” and a start time of 14:00 UTC; the Japanese account listed a 23:00 start. During the Pokémon Sleep window, players cannot begin new sleep tracking, and sessions started before the maintenance may fail to complete research properly. Compensation is being considered and will be announced later.

Community reporting and technical discussion strongly link the simultaneous outages to critical remote-code-execution vulnerabilities in PHP that were disclosed on October 20, 2026. Many services worldwide that rely on PHP backends have taken temporary offline measures while patches are applied. Official Pokémon notices do not explicitly name the vulnerability, but the timing and the explicit “security measures” language used for Pokémon Sleep align with that broader incident. A separate, previously scheduled version 3.9.0 maintenance for Pokémon Sleep remains planned for October 22, 2026.

As of the latest available updates, none of the three services has published an end time. Players attempting to access Pokémon HOME, Pokémon Champions, or Pokémon Sleep currently receive maintenance messages. The situation remains fluid; official accounts are expected to post completion notices once the security work is finished. Trainers relying on transfers, competitive play, or overnight sleep tracking are advised to monitor the respective official channels for further updates.
