In Recent Releases, players can find a free to download title by the name of “Jump Rope Challenges,” a “simple game” developed by Nintendo staff in Japan, who were working from home.

This simple game was created by a few Nintendo developers while working from home in Japan to add quick and fun physical movement into their daily life. Give it a try and get moving while at home! #JumpRopeChallenge

Jump Rope Challenge can be enjoyed in both table-top mode and TV Mode, with support for 2 players. Additional game details can be seen here:

Jump rope virtually and watch the on-screen counter increase with each successful hop! A friend can join in on the fun with another Joy-ConTM controller as you strive for a high score.

Make sure to stretch properly before play. Game play requires varying amounts of physical activity.

Consult a doctor before playing if:

  • you are or may be pregnant,
  • you have heart, respiratory, back, joint or other orthopedic conditions,
  • you have high blood pressure,
  • you have difficulty with physical exercise or you have been instructed to restrict physical activity.

If you experience excessive fatigue, shortness of breath, chest tightness, dizziness, discomfort or pain while playing STOP USE IMMEDIATELY and consult a doctor. Keep your activity within reasonable limits and avoid excessive exertion.

As it stands however, Jump Rope Challenge, will only be available as a free title for a limited time, as the offer ends at the end of September 2020.

Additionally, for the players who don’t want to jump, Nintendo has offered the following statement:

“For those who aren’t able to jump, or are worried about disturbing the downstairs neighbours, players can bend their knees or move their arms to play the game without creating any noise.”
