So, after playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons for a while, you’ve realized that your flimsy tools are just not cutting the mustard and your backpack isn’t big enough for your hoard. On top of that, you wish there was an easier way to access your tools? Not to worry, Miketendo64 has your back as we tell you how you can expand, your backpack, learn to make stronger tools and obtain the Tool wheel to boot. 

First of all, you will need access to the Nook Stop machine inside the Resident Services tent (Where you find Tom Nook. Access the terminal and click on Redeem Nook Miles. It is from here that you will be able to purchase all your essential upgrades.

 

Tool Wheel

Using the Nook Stop Machine, go to Redeem Nook Miles and purchase an item called Tool Ring: It’s Essential! for 800 Nook Miles. This item will allow you to access a tool wheel by pressing UP on the D-Pad.

Upgraded Tools

Using the Nook Stop Machine, go to Redeem Nook Miles and then find an item called Pretty Good Tools Recipes for 3,000 Nook Miles. This item will allow you to make your flimsy tools stronger by combining them with iron nuggets.

Upgrade Backpack

Using the Nook Stop Machine, go to Redeem Nook Miles and purchase an item called Pocket Organization Guide for 5,000 Nook Miles. This item will expand your backpack with another 10 slots. Now that’s handy Harry!

 

Rearranging Tools & Items

You find that your backpack is a bit cluttered and would like to reorganize your items better, like putting all your tools together. To do so, hold the A button and then move the item to where you would like it to go. If there is another item there, it will swap places.

 

Custom Design Pro Editor

Using the Nook Stop Machine, go to Redeem Nook Miles and purchase an item called Custom Design Pro Editor for 800 Nook Miles. This item will allow you to create custom designs that you can make your villager wear on clothes.
