The Pokémon Company have released the new replacement for Pokémon Bank. Pokémon Home is a new software that allows players to store their Pokémon and trade between games. The software is free to download and gives you access to the basic plan. This allows trading from Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee! to Pokémon Sword/Shield. There is also only storage for up to 30 pocket monsters in the basic plan but if you pay for the premium subscription plan, you can store considerably more.
The premium plan also allows players to transfer from the 3DS games into Pokémon Home and even into Pokémon Sword/Shield should you wish to. It is important to note that not all Pokémon can be transferred into Pokémon Sword/Shield. Those that can be transferred will no longer be able to transfer back to their original games either.
For those of you interested in Pokémon Home and have yet to download it, we have recorded about 20 minutes of the software running on Switch and how to access Pokémon Boxes from Let’s Go and SwSh. We also have another video showing how to move compatible Pokémon from Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee into Pokémon Sword/Shield.
