Happy New Year to you all! We want to take the time to announce that we will be taking Miketendo64 into a new direction. Over the last few years, we have tried different things to find a niche for ourselves in the ever-changing world that is the internet. From a blog to a news outlet and everything in between, it is getting harder and harder to stay relevant in this day and age.
One thing we have always done is give back to our community as a way of saying thank you for all of your support. We have enjoyed engaging with you all in the comments and on Social Media and it is time to take the next step in order to further grow our community. I am of course referring to actually playing online with you fine people.
Sometimes, we don’t always have the time to play online with people we know and more often than not, there is hardly anyone online playing the game you want to play. We will be introducing gaming events across three regions to allow gamers to play during times more suitable to their schedule. Whilst the big AAA games will be featured like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2, we hope to shine the light on smaller 3rd party and indie games like Dead By Daylight and Killer Queen Black.
In the beginning, it will be a bit of a struggle to arrange events as we build up our gaming community but we hope you all will stick with us and come play online with us. We have created our own Discord server with separate channels to discuss and arrange gaming events that you can join in on. Please be sure to check it out and join the Miketendo64 Gaming Community!
As regards to the website, we will still be posting content like guides, reviews, interviews and features. We hope to provide content that will help you when choosing a new game to play or tips on how to get better at playing particular games online.
We don’t know what 2020 holds for us but we plan to have fun regardless and hope that you will come and join in on the fun with us.
