From the moment Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch was revealed, there was been hype, videos and a whole lot of discussions. We should know, we’ve done our fair share of them and this article is going to be a continuation of that! Having already tweeted some of our wants, it is time to make them official. Let’s do this:
New Stages for Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo Switch:
New Donk City (Super Mario Odyssey)
If it’s good enough for Super Mario Odyssey and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, it’s good enough for Smash. Might need to get Pauline’s permission first though.
Luncheon Kingdom (Super Mario Odyssey)
Considering as it was one of the Kingdoms we first learned a lot about, Luncheon Kingdom would be a great addition to the Smash roster, not to mention colorful, but deadly.
Sturgeon Shipyard (Splatoon 2)
We don’t know about you guys, but this one has Smash written all over it!
Altar of the Sunne/Altar of the Moone (Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon ultra Moon)
By day, it is the home of Solgaleo and is called Altar of the Sunne, but at night, Lunala comes and the glory that is Altar of the Moone, is ours to behold.
Ultra Megalopolis (Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon)
Be it Ultra Megalopolis itself, or just any location in Ultra Space, the fact is we want it Smash, as it is bound to be a fantastic place for a showdown to take place in!
Castle Town Ruins (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
While some would argue we should have Hyrule Castle, we’d rather have Hyrule Castle Town, complete with Guardians that will shoot fighters randomly, when they’re least expecting it.
Spring Stadium (ARMS)
This one goes without saying, since we want Spring Man in Smash, but just imagine it, you go to brawl on Spring Stadium, only to spend half the match bouncing around willy nilly, because you can.
Lascham Island (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
Despite being our lesser choice of a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 stage, how could we not include it? It’s open, it’s got a decent size to it and it wouldn’t prove too distracting for fighters.
Leftherian Archipelago (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
What’s Smash without a gigantic stage to wage war on? So, with the likes of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 having that beautiful place known as the Leftherian Archipelago? It would make for a great location to bash some skulls together.
Planet SR388 (Metroid: Samus Returns)
While we know nothing about Metroid Prime 4, at the very least, we do know about Samus Returns. Last year the infamous Bounty Hunter returned to to Planet SR388 and it was just as deadly as ever. Teaming with Metroids and mystery, how could we not want it in Smash?
So what do you think of our list? Do you agree with any of our choices? And if you think we haven’t got enough, don’t worry, we’ll add some more real soon!
Until next time, Keep on Gaming!
I agree with New Donk City but I want Phazon Mines for Metroid. Also some classic and iconic stages like Gangplank Galleon from Donkey Kong Country would be nice. Also where’s Bowser’s Castle? I’ve been waiting for one since Melee. Ganon’s Tower from OOT would be cool too.
We’re currently focusing on locations from 3DS and Switch games, But you’re absolutely right!
