Hello and welcome back to Jacktendo Selects, the monthly Miketendo64 feature where I go into my Top 6 Switch games of the month that just ended and talk about the game I’d happily recommend and the one I’m looking forwards to this month!

So to get things underway, having been played and reviewed, here is my list of the Top 6 games that made it onto my list this month both photo and written form:

September 2017.jpg

10/10 – SteamWorld Dig 2

9/10 – Pokkén Tournament DX

9/10 – The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

8/10 – Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

8/10 – One Piece: Unlimited World Red — Deluxe Edition

8/10 – LEGO Worlds

I would have loved to have The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game on this list, but sadly with so many games to play and review, I didn’t get my review for it out in tome, but it’s bound to be on my Top 6 for the next issue and just because it’s not on this list, it doesn’t mean the games that did make it on here aren’t as good as it! SteamWorld Dig 2 is everything I wanted it to be, Pokkén is back and while it may not be all that different, it does have more replay value than before. As for Xenoverse 2, of course I had to list that one, Dragon Ball has come to Switch and with it motion controls that allow players to perform a Kamehameha!

Still, while those 6 games were my crème de la croupe for last month, it is of course time to reveal my Jacktendo Selects title for September and since my own Jacktendo Selects rules forbid me from picking SteamWorld Dig 2 as that is a game that is bound to be purchased by virtually everyone anyway, instead the game I’m recommending is NeuroVoider. As a twin stick shooter roguelike that can be played with others it is a badass title with plenty of replay value and more than worth its eShop price tag!

As for the game I am looking forwards to for this month of October, it’s only natural that it’s Super Mario Odyssey. Mario’s largest adventure to date is almost upon us and despite everything we have seen of it so far, it’s just the tip of the iceberg as this game is so large and so packed that it actually puts The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to shame and that is saying something. So roll on October 27th because the world is ready for all that is Super Mario Odyssey!

Once again, thank you all for taking the time to check out another instalment of Jacktendo Selects. I hope you look forwards to the next one and until then, here is a revised list of my Top 10 games on the Nintendo Switch of all-time and if you feel like it, you can list your Top 10 in the comments below:

  1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
