Going by a new Nikkei Technology article by Fomalhaut, the Japanese teardown firm has shared two interesting tidbits, which we’ll be covering right here, right now!

Firstly, Fomalhaut believes the Nintendo Switch will sell 30 million units by the end of 2018 and it most certainly can, provided Nintendo can produce enough units, but secondly, Fomalhaut estimates that is costs around $257 dollars to manufacture a single unit. Estimation or not, the figure does make sense since Nintendo have admitted they wouldn’t sell the Switch at a loss and with it selling at $299 dollars in America, would mean Nintendo would be profiting $42 dollars per every unit, but at the end of the day, it is just an estimation. For the real figure, we’ll have to wait and see if Nintendo decide to share it with us.
