Once again, OBE1plays is back with Day 8 on Nintendo Switchmas and we’re back with over coverage of the video!

So what was “leaked” this time? Well how about the fact that according to OBE1plays, the Nintendo Switch only requires less than 30 minutes to charge. While it is no secret that the Switch is said to use USB-C for charging, until now it’s never been actually stated how long the console takes to charge. If this is true, it is very exciting news because even if the handheld only has a battery life of 2-3 hours, at least we won’t have to wait long before it’s ready to go again.

Below you can find both the video in which this piece of news comes from and our summarised contents in the same order we’ve used for our previously OBE1plays articles:

  • Reliable sources have explicitly stated the Nintendo Switch takes almost no time at all to charge.
  • In fact it charges so quickly that it takes less than 30 minutes for the handheld to fully charge.
  • As a comparison as to how quick the charge is, OBE1plays offered up the following example. Even with an Apple Lightning charger, iPad Mini’s can still take around 2 hours, if not longer to charge, compared to the Nintendo Switch’s half an hour long charge time, thanks to USB-C.

Personally I wouldn’t really call this a leak as such, since most of the information we did know already, except now we have a rough number to go with what we know, but out of everything he has said so far, this is easily one of the videos in which its content does in fact turn out to be true. Also since this was only his 8th video with regards to Nintendo Switchmas, there are still another 4 videos to come, so if you haven’t subscribed to his channel yet, now might be a good time to do so.

However in case you don’t, whatever Switch news and rumours that come out from his next video, you can be sure to find here at Miketendo64.com
