The Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct has come and gone and it turned up all kinds of interesting news, especially Zelda news that was most unexpected!

Whether you’ve downloaded the new update for Animal Crossing: New Leaf or brought the Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo! is now compatible with various amiibo and when you tap in a Zelda amiibo, the likes of Wolf Link, Epona, Medli and even Ganon could turn up pay you a visit. Just make sure you keep an eye on Ganon, we’ve all seen what he’s done and tried to do to Hyrule time and time again. (Other amiibo shown to have a similar effect are any from the Splatoon line.)

As for the other bit of amiibo news, Animal Crossing Sarino cards are headed to Europe this month, so anyone looking to pick some up can do so from November 25^th onwards. (They were previously only available in Japan.)
