Well Nintendo have said they won’t be talking about official game announcements and specs for the Nintendo Switch this year, but I know of a certain someone who will!
But before I announce who they are, don’t you just love the fact that we finally get some answers on the Nintendo Switch and the rumours are still coming, but this time this particular rumour is from a credible source and it concerns the specs of the devkit for the Nintendo Switch, so naturally we just have to talk about these rumours.
So what has been uncovered? Well according to notorious dataminer @NWPlayer123, she has the full specs for the Switch’s devkit, which includes: (Make sure to check out the image below the text for the complete specs)
- Four ARM Cortex-A57 cores, max 2GHz
- NVidia second-generation Maxwell architecture
- 256 CUDA cores, max 1 GHz, 1024 FLOPS/cycle
- 4GB RAM (25.6 GB/s, VRAM shared)
- 32 GB storage (Max transfer 400 MB/s)
- USB 2.0 & 3.0
- 1280 x 720 6.2″ IPS LCD
- 1080p at 60 fps or 4k at 30 fps max video output
- Capcitance method, 10-point multi-touch
But before the doubters start to jump on the whole “but then the Nintendo Switch is underpowered” bandwagon @NWPlayer123 does go on to state that they are the supposed specs and that they could very well be for an older devkit and that the newer ones could be far superior, but remember all of this is just a rumour and Nintendo aren’t going to say anything until next year!
